Troy University
SACS Reaffirmation of Accreditation
Narrative: Troy University is in compliance with this Comprehensive Standard. Troy University has well qualified personnel in its student services division who ensure the quality and effectiveness of student services and administration programs. The division of student services provides a variety of services and support for students at all of the University’s campuses and locations. The attached list of student services personnel provides information on each individual’s work title, academic background, campus location, and professional membership and/or certification. The over-riding attribute sought in all student services personnel is a commitment to student needs. Aside from the required academic and professional credentials, the University hires those individuals who best enable the University to meet its mission in regard to student services. Each supervisor conducts an annual performance evaluation, due each September, of both classified and professional staff members. During the annual evaluation, professional growth opportunities pursued by staff members are discussed, and employees are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities. In addition, the graduating student survey asks students to provide feedback regarding many student affairs services such as the performance of the admissions office, registrar and records office, veteran services, financial aid services, adaptive needs services, career services, placement services, counseling services, housing and residential life, student health services, recreational and intramural activities, the fitness center, parking, University media, and student organizations.
